San Francisco Child Health Forum March 25, 2010Children's Health Fund and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford to co-host a public forum on health reform and the health care needs of children in the State of California.  The Honorable Anna Eshoo, US House of Representatives, will provide special remarks and an expert panel from local and national organizations will also speak on the topic.

Thanks to funding from American Idol, "Idol Gives Back", a Signature Philanthropic Supporter of the Children's Health Fund, CHF's Dallas Children's Health Project has a brand new mobile dental clinic on the road.  Children's Health Fund has been chosen, for the third time, as a charity for the 2010 Idol Gives Back program, airing April 21st.  Watch for more Idol updates coming soon.

On December 15, 2009, Trust for America's Health publishes a report "Ready or Not? Protecting the Public's Health From Diseases, Disasters, and Bioterrorism" that is peer reviewed by Children's Health Fund President Irwin Redlener, MD.

On December 2 at 2:30 p.m. Dr. Irwin Redlener, CHF Co-Founder and President, testifies to the U.S. Senate Ad Hoc Subcommittee on Disaster Recovery.  The hearing focuses on “Disaster Case Management:  Developing a Comprehensive National Program Focused on Outcomes.

On Saturday, November 7th, 2009, Children's Health Fund, in partnership with Chiricahua Community Health Centers, officially launched the Southern Arizona Children's Health Project (SACHP).  A daylong community celebration in Douglas, AZ included a ribbon cutting ceremony and tours of the new mobile medical clinic. Thanks to American Idol "Idol Gives Back", a Signature Philanthropic Supporter of the Southern Arizona Children's Health Project.

Oct. 20, 2009: Medical Directors and Teams from CHF Projects Gather for National Conference

On October 20 - 23, Medical Directors and teams from across the country will come together in Newark, NJ (home of the New Jersey Children's Health Project), for the Children's Health Fund(CHF)'s National Conference.  The annual event is a collaborative opportunity for each CHF project to share their successes and challenges in providing comprehensive health care to the nation’s most underserved and at-risk children and their families.  The keynote address on "Fulfilling the Promise of National Health Reform:  Prospects for Children" will be given by Judith Palfrey, MD, President-Elect, American Academy of Pediatrics.

Expanded pediatric mobile clinic services for those who might not otherwise have access in the New Brunswick, NJ area is now possible due to a gift for expansion for the New Jersey Children's Health Project from Johnson & Johnson.  The program is a partnership between the RWJMS Department of Pediatrics, the UMDNJ-School of Nursing and Children's Health Fund and officially launches on Oct. 5 in a ceremony at the First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens.

After 4 years of community fundraising and a $250,000 donation, Children’s Health Fund’s (CHF) mobile medical clinic, was introduced at the Pride in Port Parade. The Port Washington School District and Community came together to raise money for the mobile medical clinic. more »

Majority Leader Sen. Harry Reid and Speaker Nancy Pelosi joined Children’s Health Fund co-founders Dr. Irwin Redlener and singer/songwriter Paul Simon on September 16 at the West Capitol Lawn to raise awareness of the more than 21 million kids who will benefit from President Obama’s proposed health care plan.
